A universal Valencian, Maestro García Asensio has conducted orchestras in Canada, United States, Mexico, Puerto Rico, Uruguay, Dominican Republic, Brazil, Japan, Iceland, Bulgaria, Romania, Greece, Israel, Russia, South Africa, Northern Ireland, Switzerland, England, Portugal, Italy, France, Belgium, Germany, Luxembourg, Austria, Holland, Turkey, Czech Republic, Denmark and Slovakia.
Enrique García Asensio combines conducting with giving lectures and orchestra conducting master classes.
Maestro García Asensio is a member of the Saint Charles Royal Academy of Fine Arts of Valencia, Knight of the Order of the Holy Grail and Knight of the Royal Order of Santa María del Puig.
At present and since its creation, he is a member of the Valencian Council of Culture of the Valencian Autonomous Government.
He won the Chigiana Music Academy Prize, the Siena Rotary Club Prize for the "Best Student of the Year" of the Chigiana Academy (1963). First Prize and Gold Medal in the International Conducting Competition "Dimitri Mitropoulos" of New York (1967). Prize for the "Best Conductor" of the Madrid Opera season, at Zarzuela Theatre (1967).
